Adaptive learning - a think-tank on preparedness for climate change adaptation in local and state planning in Victoria

Adaptation planning is occurring worldwide. While Victoria has its own concerns and issues, we can learn from experiences elsewhere. Building on the Adaptation Symposium hosted by the Victorian government in June 2009 and the Municipal Association of Victoria National Environment Conference in April 2010, this Melbourne think tank drew on the knowledge of international experts in Australia for NCCARF Climate Adaptation Conference (29 June-1 July). This think tank gave local policymakers and decision makers the opportunity to work with overseas experts to focus on the short-term decisions required to meet long-term adaptation goals in state and local planning.

The program flyer, presentations by Diane Liverman and Emma Tompkins and final report are available to download.
